Stalin Harikaran N is a legal academic and researcher with a strong academic focus on maritime law and allied disciplines. He completed his undergraduate legal education at Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, School of Excellence in Law. Building upon this foundation, he pursued a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Maritime Law from Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, where he developed knowledge of the legal frameworks governing shipping and marine commerce.

Further, he obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Alternative Dispute Resolution from NALSAR University of Law, gaining specialized knowledge in arbitration, mediation, and dispute resolution mechanisms. In June 2024, he successfully qualified for the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET), demonstrating his eligibility for teaching and research in higher education institutions across India.

His research interests lie in maritime law, environmental law, and insurance law, with particular emphasis on ocean governance, environmental sustainability, maritime commerce, and risk management within the global shipping industry. Stalin has presented papers at several national and international conferences, actively contributing to scholarly discussions on contemporary developments in maritime law.

Stalin Harikaran N is an Assistant Professor at Vinayaka Mission’s Law School (VMLS).
