At Vinayaka Mission's Law School (VMLS), we uphold the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and inclusivity. Our governance structure is designed to foster a safe and conducive academic environment for all.
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is the cornerstone of quality enhancement at VMLS. It works tirelessly to develop a system for conscious, consistent, and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions. From curriculum enrichment to faculty development and student feedback mechanisms, IQAC ensures that VMLS adheres to global standards of legal education and meets the rigorous criteria set by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
Constituted in accordance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, the ICC is dedicated to preventing gender-based discrimination and harassment. It provides a confidential and supportive platform for staff and students to report any grievances, ensuring a safe, respectful, and dignified campus environment for all, where every concern is addressed with sensitivity and promptness.
VMLS maintains a zero-tolerance policy towards ragging. The Anti-Ragging Committee is a high-level body that oversees compliance with UGC regulations and Supreme Court directives. Its primary mandate is to instill a culture of mutual respect and friendship among students. The committee is empowered to take stringent action against defaulters and organizes regular awareness campaigns to ensure a ragging-free campus.
The Anti-Ragging Squad acts as the "eyes and ears" of the institution. Composed of faculty and administrative staff, the squad conducts surprise checks in hostels, canteens, and common areas to prevent any untoward incidents. Their proactive vigilance ensures that new students feel secure and welcomed, maintaining a peaceful and disciplined atmosphere across the VMLS campus.
Recognizing that a contented student body is key to a thriving academic community, this committee functions as an impartial body to hear and redress student grievances. Whether related to academics, amenities, or administrative issues, the committee ensures a fair hearing and time-bound resolution. It promotes transparency and accountability, ensuring that every student's voice is valued and heard.
This cell plays a pivotal role in creating a gender-sensitive campus through continuous education and dialogue. It organizes workshops, seminars, and counseling sessions to break stereotypes and foster an environment of equality. By promoting understanding and respect among all genders, the cell contributes to the holistic development of students and staff, ensuring an inclusive community free from bias.
The Women Empowerment Cell is dedicated to inspiring and equipping female students and staff to achieve their full potential. It focuses on leadership development, legal rights awareness, entrepreneurial skills, and self-defense training. Through mentorship and specialized programs, the cell aims to build confidence and prepare women to be change-makers in the legal profession and society at large.
