Tathagat Sharma
Assistant Professor
Tathagat Sharma is an Erasmus Mundus Scholar who pursued his European Master in Law and Economics (EMLE) at his allocations at Erasmus University Rotterdam (the Netherlands), University of Hamburg (Germany), and Università di Roma LUMSA (Italy). Prior to his masters he was a practicing Advocate practising primarily at the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India.
Tathagat graduated with an undergraduate degree in law from the National Law University and Judicial Academy Assam; and holds a Masters in Law from the South Asian University. He was engaged as a Chamber Junior with the Ld. Additional Solicitor General of India Mr Vikramjit Banerjee (Sr. Adv.), and was appointed as a Counsel for the Central Government before the Supreme Court by the Hon'ble President of India in 2022.
He was also awarded the Youth Internet Governance Forum India Fellowship 2022, and is a Digital Defender Fellow 2022-2023 with Software Freedom Law Centre India. In his pastime, he enjoys writing on issues concerning Constitutional and International Law, and the Intersection of Law, Economics and Technology. He enjoys everything pop culture, including games, movies, series, and books. In his pastime, you may find him engaging in a trivia quiz, or roaming the streets of Rome, Paris or Istanbul in Assassin's Creed.
