On July 12, 2025, Vinayaka Mission’s Law School (VMLS), Paiyanoor campus, Chennai, inaugurated its Legal Aid Clinic, aligning legal education with community service. The ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Retired Justice D. Murugesan, Dr. Anuradha Ganesan, Mr. J. Suresh Samuel, and Dr. A. Francis Julian.

A landmark initiative announced in the inaugration was VMLS’s adoption of 42 Irular tribal families from Manamai Village, marking a first-of-its-kind legal outreach by a law school in India. Dean Dr. Ananth Padmanabhan highlighted the school’s commitment to experiential learning and justice delivery.

The event included a panel discussion on “India’s Justice Delivery: Challenges and Solutions,” featuring leading legal experts.
