Vinayaka Mission’s Law School (VMLS) had the privilege of engaging with Natasha Varyani, Professor of Law at Roger Williams University School of Law and Academic in Residence at Sullivan & Worcester LLP, for two insightful academic sessions held on 11 and 12 March 2026.
On 11 March, Prof. Varyani delivered a Women in Law Masterclass focusing on the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. The session examined workplace regulation, institutional responsibility, and evolving legal frameworks, encouraging students to reflect on the role of law in fostering safe and equitable professional environments. It also drew comparative insights from Indian and U.S. jurisprudence, highlighting intersectionality and the complexities surrounding reporting and redressal mechanisms.
On 12 March, she conducted a Masterclass on International Taxation for LL.B. Second Year students. The lecture explored contemporary developments including the BEPS initiative and the OECD/G20 Inclusive Framework, with particular focus on Pillar One and Pillar Two (GloBE Rules). Students gained insights into global tax reforms, digital economy challenges, and coordinated efforts to address tax avoidance.
