Vinayaka Mission’s Law School (VMLS) had the privilege of hosting Natasha Varyani, Professor of Law at Roger Williams University School of Law and Academic in Residence at Sullivan & Worcester LLP, as part of its academic engagement series. On 10 March, she delivered the GIEC Fireside Chat on “Entrepreneurship & Starting-up: Navigating Key Global Legal, Regulatory and Policy Challenges.”
The session offered valuable insights into the opportunities and challenges of building and scaling startups in a globalised economy. Prof. Varyani emphasised the critical role of legal awareness in entrepreneurship, highlighting issues such as business structuring, taxation, intellectual property rights, and regulatory compliance across jurisdictions.
She also addressed the impact of global regulations on digital markets and cross-border transactions. The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students. Such initiatives reaffirm VMLS’s commitment to fostering global perspectives and preparing students for evolving legal landscapes.
